Leadership Training – The Leaders Map Explained (Part 1)

Recently we announced the launch of our new leadership training program.

First, we have to say a huge “thank you” to the many messages of congratulations and well wishes. This has been overwhelming and very humbling, thank you!

The Leaders Map provides a unique leadership training program, with a difference! We inspire your leaders with new direction away from the traditional classroom.

Our M.A.P. & C.O.M.P.A.S.S. program is designed to provide current and future leaders with the skills necessary to effective lead people. The program offers participants the opportunity to explore and practice these skills while reflecting on their own leadership “style”.

This program combines our passion for helping others to succeed with our love of the great outdoors, taking participants on overnight hiking and camping treks close to the CBD.

We have received a number of enquiries from people wanting to know more about the program, so today we’ll start with an overview of the program.

Our M.A.P. program focusses on 3 areas essential to leadership success – Mastery, Awareness and Planning. This stage of the program explores self as a leader and how our leadership style impacts upon others. And finally we undertake a series of planning discussions and activities to prepare for your leadership evolution.

Our C.O.M.P.A.S.S. program explores 7 core areas required to effectively lead teams – Collaborate, Oversee, Mentor, Participate, Appraise, Support & Succeed.

How does it Work?
Designed for the great outdoors, the program involves hiking and camping and is divided into a series of leadership treks:
Trek 1:    Mastery & Awareness – 2 days and 1 overnight camp.
Trek 2:    Planning  – Full day hike only.
Trek 3:    Collaborate & Oversee  – 2 days and 1 overnight camp.
Trek 4:    Mentor & Participate  – 2 days and 1 overnight camp.
Trek 5:    Appraise & Support  – 2 days and 1 overnight camp.
Trek 6:    Succeed  – Full day hike only.
(Single night, day hikes or classroom sessions can be arranged).
Our program is designed to be flexible, to meet your organisation’s needs. And if you don’t need the entire program, we can tailor a solution for you!

In our next newsletter, we’ll answer some frequently asked questions about the program and provide more information on the “Mastery” and “Awareness” components. In the meantime, here to “Like” our Facebook page.
